All Too Human – “Forever And A Day”

Not the most prototypical group of this world, for sure… It’s obvious that these four young Americans have been listening many times to Rush (mainly) and Queensryche (and maybe Marillion). Of course, this is nothing bad, but sometimes it seems that they refer to these mega-groups more than needed. Their whole style is rather similar to the Canadian pioneers, and the vocals many times tend to be a clone of either Geoff Tate or Geddy Lee. But I guess we shouldn’t be unkind where it’s not needed, should we? And this is one of the cases where we should stay calm, because these guys have a lot of talent. And this is obvious from the integration of their songs, and from their melodies, too, which are obvious as much as they’re inspired. Very good sound and great future (they have already changed guitarist and singer, though). I think it’s just a matter of time for them to create their own musical style and let their undeniable talent grow. Until then, “Forever And A Day”, their first, self-financed work, remains a very nice choice for all the Rush and Ryche fans. Check them out at www.alltoohuman.com.
